Dr. Ethel L. King-McKenzie, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Elementary & Early Childhood Education

Dr. King-McKenzie is a graduate of Louisiana State University where she earned the Ph.D. degree in Curriculum and Instruction (specializing in Qualitative Research -- ethnography and life history) and Social Studies. Her research interests include curriculum theory with a particular emphasis on social justice education, critical race theory and cultural studies. Dr. King-McKenzie has taught in public school in her homeland Jamaica and the United States. She presently teaches Social Studies methodology to TOSS students at Kennesaw State University.
