Ed.D. in Teacher Leadership for Learning

Welcome to the Ed.D. in Teacher Leadership for Learning (TLL) Program in the Bagwell College of Education, Kennesaw State University.  Our distinct mission is to prepare dynamic, high-performing leaders who will transform P-12 schools into learning communities characterized by high levels of student success.  
Our aim is to mentor and prepare professional educators of broad vision and personal integrity who are committed to social justice and formal education as a means of personal and civic improvement. It is our responsibility to facilitate the growth and acumen Ed.D. candidates must exhibit to become exemplary professional leaders who are equipped to meet the challenges of 21st century schools and classrooms.

EDL 8000: Foundations of Distributed Leadership for Learning (3hrs.)

The cornerstone of the doctorate, Teacher Leadership for Learning, is an interdisciplinary core that establishes a common set of performance outcomes aligned with Distributed School Leadership Practice (DSLP). This course introduces DSLP, a perspective on leadership that captures the collective, and complex, relationship dynamics of formal and informal school leaders. DSLP is more than shared leadership. DSLP is about the synergy and situations that develop as school leaders reform schools into places that are intentionally inclusive and inviting to all students.
